Design Rationale:
I chose to use alanine as my foundation for its non-polar character and hydroxyl group that may donate a proton to the negatively charged oxygen. I added an amine group to the alanine methyl side chain in hopes that the positive character will balance the newly formed negative charge from oxygen.
